2022-10-02 14:44

The storage and transportation ofwire and cable products are two very important links. If the storage and transportation methods are improper, the quality of wire and cable products will be damaged and the safety of use will be affected. So, what should we pay attention to when storing and transporting cable products?

1. When storing cables, it is strictly forbidden to contact with acids, alkalis and mineral oils, and they should be stored separately from these corrosive substances;

2. There shall be no harmful gas damaging insulation and corroding metal in the warehouse where cables are stored;

3. The cables shall not be stored in the open air in an exposed manner as far as possible, and the cable reel shall not be laid horizontally;

4. During the storage period, the cable shall be rolled regularly (once every three months in summer, and extended in other seasons as appropriate). When rolling, roll the side of the downward storage tray upward to prevent the bottom from being damped and rotted. Pay attention to whether the cable head is intact during storage;

5. The storage life of cables shall be limited to the ex factory date of products, which shall not exceed one and a half years generally, and shall not exceed two years at most;

6. It is strictly forbidden to drop cables or cable reels with cables from high places during transportation, especially at low temperatures (generally about 5 ℃ and below), which may cause insulation and sheath cracking;

7. When lifting packages, it is strictly prohibited to lift several coils at the same time. On vehicles, ships and other means of transport, the cable reel shall be fixed with appropriate methods to prevent mutual collision or overturning, so as to prevent mechanical damage to the cable.
