What is non-standard wire and cable?

Firstly, the tensile strength, thickness and flame retardancy of the non-standard wire and cable insulation layer cannot meet the requirements. Some manufacturers use recycled plastic or add more filler to reduce costs.  

The difference between each ton of recycled material and qualified PVC plastic powder is nearly 2000 yuan, but the reclaimed material has high impurity content, low mechanical strength, poor aging resistance and electrical insulation performance; Secondly, the "amount" is reduced, and if the thickness of the insulation layer is not enough, the insulation effect will of course be greatly reduced. Both of these conditions will directly lead to short circuits and leakage of wires and cables. However, the tensile strength index of the product insulation and sheath before aging is unqualified, and there is a risk of electric shock.  

Second, the copper core material of non-standard wire and cable is unqualified, the copper core conductor accounts for 70%-80% of the cost of the wire, counterfeit manufacturers use recycled copper, and the copper core conductor is inferior. According to national standards, the copper conductor of wire and cable products should use electrical copper with a copper content of more than 99.9%. At present, the price of high-quality copper is as high as more than 50,000 yuan per ton, and unscrupulous manufacturers use low-cost impurity copper, recycled copper, and even local methods to smelt copper. The copper content is extremely unstable, resulting in a large increase in the resistivity of copper conductors. The direct consequence of unqualified conductor resistance indicators of wire and cable products is that the conductor overheats and damages the insulating plastic during use, causing a short circuit and causing a fire. Excessive conductor resistance directly wastes a lot of electrical energy.  The cross-sectional area of non-standard wires and cables is not enough, and the problem wires are small and large to reduce the amount of copper used and reduce costs.  

Third, in order to save copper consumption and reduce the actual cross-sectional area of the copper core, counterfeit manufacturers, such as the nominal cross-sectional area of 2.5mm2, the diameter of the corresponding copper core double plastic copper core wire should be 1.78mm, but the counterfeit manufacturers of criminals are only 1.7mm or less. The direct consequence of this practice is that the wire overheats during use, damaging the plastic of the insulating layer, causing a short circuit and causing a fire.  

Fourth, the length of non-standard wires and cables is not up to standard. The standard line is 100 meters long, and the non-standard line is mostly about 90 meters. Some of the wires were measured to be less than 80 meters long, but the total length was marked as 100 meters.
