Such thick smoke, coupled with H2S and CO and other toxic gases, can irritate and poison human respiratory system. In the narrow environment of underground mine, the affected personnel cannot escape the fire scene at all.
According to the white paper of foreign fire protection, the casualties of this "secondary disaster" accounted for 70 ~ 80 percent of the total number of fire casualties.
In our coal mine fire accident casualties, the proportion of victims of secondary disasters is also very large.
