What is the difference between BV and BVR Wire?

The material between BV and BVR Wire is the same, both are copper core PVC insulated line, but the BV  is a hard single core hard line, BVR is a soft multi-core soft thin line, the same area of the current under the same.

Two, BV wire and RV wire structure

Bv wire and RV wire have the same structure, very simple, conductor material is copper.

1, BV is a single core hard wire, 6 square below is a conductor, starting from 10 square 7. BV conductor whether single core or stranded, are relatively hard, single core is also relatively thick!

2, RV is a lot of core soft wire, like hair so thin, very soft. The cross-sectional area of the conductor varies from 0.5 square to 10 square. It is mainly used for connecting cables in various devices.

It can be seen that in structure, the BV line is the same as the RV line. The conductor of the BV line is a single copper wire, while the RV conductor is hinged by many fine copper wires.

Advantages: Because the line is hard, long service life, not easy oxidation, generally used in covert engineering.

Disadvantages: it is difficult to straighten the wire after bending, and it is easy to get hurt when bending and straightening repeatedly.

BVR line, also called quadratic line

Advantages: The line is soft, often used in temporary electrical places, the requirements for laying Angle is greatly reduced, suitable for turning pipe.

Disadvantages: Short service life, fast oxidation speed, easy to break core, local heating, etc. Need to be replaced in time.

Considering that the laying of dark lines in the circuit is covert engineering, BV lines with longer service life are generally preferred.

BV: long-term permissible temperature 65℃, temperature -15℃, working voltage AC 500V, DC 1000V, fixed laying indoors, outside, can be open or dark.

RV: Use temperature 65℃, use temperature -15℃, working voltage AC 250V, DC 500V, used as the internal wiring of instruments and equipment.

Simply put, RV line is more suitable for special environments such as more corners, or threading environment is more complex occasions, BV line is suitable for general applications.

Summary: BV cable is a hard line, generally applicable to fixed objects that do not often move, BVR cable belongs to a bit of Microsoft line, RV is relatively soft and more with thin copper wire combination of wires, generally suitable for small and medium-sized household appliances
